Roland Khalife, President, Chief Executive Officer

Senior economist with over 23 years managerial track record in leading international companies operating in the telecommunications and energy sectors. Roland has extensive work experience in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. He developed important contacts and business relations with major institutions in the energy and financial sectors throughout his career. At 1 Oil, he is primarily responsible for identifying and sourcing corporate opportunities, raising funds, and overseeing overall projects execution.

Georges Krammer, Chairman, Chief Operations Officer

International expert advisor in the Oil and Gas sector and related fields (environment, power, etc.), Georges has over 40 years of experience in the management of major engineering and construction projects in the energy sector. Previously held a top management position at TECHNIP (one of the biggest engineering firms in the oil and gas sector), he worked on multi-billion dollar projects and joint ventures with other US, European, and Japanese firms.

Michel Coupard, Executive Vice President, Chief Technical Officer

International expert in refinery projects development. After spending more than 40 years in executive positions of engineering companies including BP, TECHNIP and LITWIN, Michel retired from his last position as the Vice President of LITWIN. At BP he started as a process engineer, then managed energy saving projects in refinery operations. At TECHNIP he was the Process Group Leader for Refineries where he managed engineering joint ventures with groups of 40 to 50 engineers developing refinery projects like the new LEUNA refinery in Germany. At LITWIN he was in charge of Technical Services, including Engineering Services, and then the Managing Director for their affiliate engineering company in Nigeria. He worked with various clients such as APAVE, PROSERNAT and BEICIP in support of their projects.

Adrien Azoulay, Executive Vice President, Chief Procurement & Subcontracting Officer

International expert in process engineering, specializing in chemicals and petrochemicals, polymers processing, and fertilizers. Adrien has over 40 years of experience in the energy, substitute fuels, chemicals and petrochemicals fields. Previously held a top management position at TECHNIP, he worked on refinery construction, expansion and refurbishment projects in various countries, including Nigeria, Yugoslavia, China, and France. Adrien is fluent in French, English and German languages.

David R. Robinson, Chief Financial Officer

During the past 25 years, David has been a founder and financier of numerous international start-ups in the oil and gas sector, including E&P Arakis Energy (Canada) which developed major oil and gas concessions in the Sudan, and was acquired by Talisman Energy in 1998. He was also been involved in various projects in Colombia, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Tunisia, Egypt, Indonesia, the US, and Canada, where he raised over $250 million for the companies he worked with.

Jean-Paul Tchang, Executive Vice President

An economist and financial adviser, Jean-Paul is bi-cultural French and Chinese, he advises Chinese SOEs and local authorities on financial, economic, and energy policies, he also helps Chinese in their “go abroad” strategies and links them to international projects. He held many executive positions in French banks and assets management firms.

— Founder and Chairman of WST Partners, Shanghai, Beijing, Paris. A consultancy form that focuses on developing Sino-European joint investment projects in energy, mining, banking, and other sectors. Where he advised various European businesses on expansion in China, including Adidas, COGEMA, SOFRES, Novembal, GIFI Teleflex, BIMP, among others.

Ronald G. Panchuk, Legal Adviser

An international oil and gas legal expert, Ronald was a partner and counsel in various regional and international law firms including Burstall Winger and Blake Cassels & Graydon. With over 30 years’ experience, he regularly advised multi-national oil and gas companies including Canadian Oil Sands Limited, Africa Oil Corporation, Iskander Energy Inc., Astra Energy Canada, Glencore Ltd., Azabache Energy Inc., TG World Energy, Virgin Resources Limited, Burstall Winger, RD Watson & Associates, the bankruptcy committee of Enron Corp., and Kattegat Trust. He worked extensively in the Middle East for over 20 years where he was a general counsel for the Government of Dubai. Ronald obtained his LLB from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg in 1982.
